And I Thought Katie Couric wasn't qualified

Huffington post has reported directly to Scooped! that The Today Show has hired former first or second daughter Jenna Bush as a correspondent.  She will report once a month on topics she is no doubt qualified to discuss.  I have nothing but the utmost confidence she'll do a bang up job.  Of course that didn't work out for the last member of her family who was given a job they weren't qualified for.

Michael GaGa

Boy, we've got a hot one here at Scoop Central!  GaGa! Bolton!  Some may say this is an odd couple.  I would disagree.  Both were the pre-eminent, vacuous spectacles of their day.  She with her bubble dress and he with his hair.  But now they've joined forces on the song "Murder My Heart" from Bolton's upcoming album. It's as good as it sounds y'all.  Check it out!

Steven Seagal: Lawman

If you're like me, and I'm guessing you're not, then you've been wondering whatever happened to that Steven Seagal reality show.  Well, turns out the show (Steven Seagal: Lawman) has been delayed by a law suit.  The dispute apparently centers on who, in fact, came up with this golden idea.  I for one hope this can be settled quickly so they can get Seagal on the air and back into the hearts of America.

Jim and Pam on their honeymoon?

Apparently Jim and Pam of The Office are getting married and the actors are shooting scenes in Niagra Falls right now!  This article seems like second hand gossip to me, but here at Scooped! that's good enough!

In Cancer Related News...

Laura Linney is set to begin shooting her next project. The Emmy Award winner will produce and star in a new Showtime series tentatively titled The C Word (a play on the title of that show about lezzies). Linney will play a woman diagnosed with cancer in this offbeat comedy. No word on additional casting at scoop time.

Grover is Kosher

Finally a Sesame Street for the rest of us! Shalom Sesame is coming to the United States. With the star power of Jake Gyllenhaal,Christina Applegate, Debra Messing, Greg Kinnear and Cedric the Entertainer, it is sure to be a hit (even with the Gentiles).

Cedric the Entertainer? Who knew.

Heathers to be TV series

The company which owns the rights to Heathers has decided to develop the classic film as a television series instead of doing a remake.  Sounds like an awful idea to me, but so does a remake.  At least I can avoid the TV show a little easier.  Scooped!

Author and special commentator for Vanity Fair Dominick Dunne died today of bladder cancer. He covered many major cultural events, but will be remembered by me as the father of actor/director/Who's That Girl? co-star Griffin Dunne.
