The Saddest Day of My Life

Not only did the punk rock community lose an icon with Jim Carroll's passing today, but now we here at Scooped! are devastated to announce the death of Road House star Patrick Swayze after a long, brave battle with Ben Gazzara.  He will be sorely missed.

Muppets! Segel!

Sure, everyone knows that Jason Segel has written an upcoming Muppet movie, but now we know the title!  Based on an idea of Jim Henson's back in 1985, the new film will be called The Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made.  The movie will center around our heroes putting on a show to save Muppet Studios from a greedy oil tycoon.

The Kids Are Back!

Scooped! is excited to announce that our favorite Canadian comedy troupe has reunited for an eight part murder mystery to air on CBC early next year. The series, called Death Comes To Town, will hopefully be coming to America some time soon.

First Look!

For better or for worse the feature film version of the SNL sketch MacGruber is in front of cameras as we speak.  The first on set photos show our hero and co-star Kristen Wiig wearing their signature bad hair.  The movie co-stars Ryan Phillippe and Powers Boothe.

Mr. Belding Sings!

Dennis Haskins, Mr. Belding to you and me, apparently likes to make the rounds at Los Angeles karaoke clubs. And what's the next best thing to seeing Belding belting out the hits in an L.A. bar?  Hearing and watching this CD/DVD of Haskins performing some of his favorite songs.  Tunes like "School's Out", "Brown Eyed Girl" and "Piano Man".  Sounds like the album of the year.

MTV to Rape Childhood!

We here at Scooped! are sad to announce the heartless bludgeoning of everybody's favorite teenage basketball-playing werewolf.  MTV has announced it is developing a pilot based the classic Michael J. Fox movie Teen Wolf.  At least they're not making a movie.  No need to add cell phones or Dane Cook to that gem.  Here's to hoping it turns out to be this generation's Saved By The Bell!  Scooped!
